Legacy Musical Works (1998 - 2016)
My interest is music has crossfaded into a love of sound itself, and so currently I have no future plans to work in this field -- these are all legacy projects. These compositions largely focus on genre-bending and experimental composition / production. Years of working in music production led my interests into contrarian spaces that indulge in broken-down sounds and non-traditonal or "bad" mixing. I feel this is important to explore because so many other art forms are lauded for these elements, so why not music too?

Echo Harvest (2014-2016) blends elements of garage, metal, and spoken word with haphazard production elements. Highly improvised and written / recorded in short sessions, often using the first take, this work is directly inspired by the impromptu bedroom recordings of my teens.

Dedicated to Otherworldly Snakes (2010) dips a solitary toe into the waters of experimental noise-rock, utilizing many sloppy inclusions of vintage digital synthesizers, drones, and sound generators. Drum machines are unsnapped to time, and the entire shambling mechanism comes together to form a sonic quilt that is all stitch and no polish.

Decline Of Day / Meet The Mountain (1998 - 2011) is a percussion-driven, conceptual electronic project that spanned over a dozen years and several locales. Albums range from forays into surrealism and psychedelia to genre-bending compositions, DIY instrumentation, collaborations, re-visitation and re-purposing of cliche (going after that "you made this in [software]" sound). This is where I first fell in love with rule-breaking in production. With this project in particular I did a lot of recording and mixing in extreme conditions, such as at high volumes from one incompetent source to another, complete with compression artifacts, cobbled together gear, etc.

The Negative and The Uninspired (2006) is a one-off collaboration with musician / composer Robert Hofmann. Recorded in Würzburg Germany in 2006, this record mixed spoken word, progressive rock, experimental electronic music, jazz, and improvisation.
